My mom wasn’t expecting anything special on her birthday. So this time I took a flight back to Mumbai just to make her day. And this was after I’d left for Hyderabad just 4 days ago. The impromptu trip was worth just the look on her face. That day was all about making the most important woman in my life feel special! I took her out for lunch to one of her favourite places. Then we went for a long ride in a yatch. She had her tryst with unlimited shopping with my credit card, followed by a delicious cake. I’d gotten a custom cake made to show my mother between all her favourite things- the TV and oh so many books. As a teacher she’s touched so many lives but mine most of all. Happy birthday, Ma.
