I met my husband, Karthik, for the first time at a salsa event. I was instantly a little attracted to this strange man who was dancing all by himself like he owned the phrase ‘dance like no one is watching.’ Well I was. Sure we became friends, then turned more, and in the process of dancing with each other, we fell in love.
After we got married, we threw a party for a few friends. We asked everyone to wear sports shoes and comfortable clothes. When they reached the venue, they were in for a surprise. Karthik and I had organised a Zumba party for everyone. For 3 whole hours, all we did was dance! It was great to celebrate our marriage the same way we met. On the dance floor.
